It’s that time of year when the pace quickens as we get caught up in the holiday buzz. I know many of you are struggling with things not being like they were, or the prospect of an empty stocking and chair at the table. I hear you. I find that my best defense is a good offense. That is I do what I can to find joy even in all the changes and the stress that comes from having children in harm’s way.
I do find joy in sending you wishes for a blessed holiday season and in encouraging you to keep moving forward and practicing being brave and strong. Our nation depends on us to keep the home fires burning just like it depends on our sons and daughters to stay on the watch.
